“Organic farming is the first step towards the health of all living things. The use of non-biodegradable substances in agriculture and animal husbandry endangers biodiversity and the entire ecosystem. An effective agro-ecological approach is the only way to gain a new perspective, something that I have been convinced of for over 40 years. We support IFOAM Organics Europe because it is essential that the European agricultural system moves towards the agroecological production model and that the regulatory framework on organic farming maintains its founding principles. Against this background, IFOAM Organics Europe is a unique voice for the entire European organic system.” – Cav. Lav. Valentino Mercati, President Aboca S.p.A.

“Making Europe More Organic is the common journey of IFOAM Organics Europe, Green Organics and many others. The IFOAM principles of Health, Ecology, Fairness and Care are at the core of our work towards making the world fully organic again! Cooperation, debate and lobby are crucial to achieve our Mission. IFOAM Organics Europe is “our” important turning point in Brussels to change the way of thinking and acting in the EU more and more towards organic. #StrongerTogether with the enthusiastic IFOAM Organics Europe staff. That’s the reason why Green Organics supports the important work of IFOAM Organics Europe.” – Jan Groen, CEO Green Organics
Rapunzel is one of the leading organic food producers in Europe. It all started very small: In 1974, Joseph Wilhelm and Jennifer Vermeulen started a self-sufficiency commune on a farm with a small natural health food store in the city of Augsburg in Bavaria. From these humble beginnings an international company with more than 400 employees developed during the last 45 years. The idea behind it all remained the same throughout this time: to manufacture certified organic, natural and untreated, vegetarian foods. The company’s motto, “Organics with love”, is not just an advertising slogan, but represents Rapunzel’s leading principle: that there is more to the production of healthy, environmentally and socially-sound foods than controlled organic cultivation. Foods that are healthy and holistic in an ethereal sense can only be cultivated, produced and processed by healthy, happy people.
“We support IFOAM Organics Europe because, with its work, it helps to push forward organic agriculture in the long-term. For this to happen, also legal and social framework conditions have to be set in such ways that organic agriculture in Europe can develop further. Here IFOAM Organics Europe plays an important role at EU level: they inform politicians in Brussels, initiate studies and work in important expert committees. All this is essential in order to meet the challenges that the organic sector still faces today. Whether it is the fight against genetic engineering, especially in regard to new methods such as CRISPR/Cas, or clear legal regulations on how organic agriculture can continue to exist next to conventional agriculture – from our point of view IFOAM Organics Europe pushes these and many other issues forward, as an important initiator and stakeholder.” – Leonhard Wilhelm, CEO Rapunzel
